Happy Easter!

I decided to save all my Easter related pictures for one blog.

Last weekend we took Kaiya to the park district which had an egg hunt. We got to have breakfast with the Easter Bunny, get pictures taken with him, play games, and have an egg hunt. Kaiya screamed her head off when she had to sit on the bunnys lap though, but I think finding all the eggs that were filled with candy made up for it.

We decided to give dying Easter eggs a try this year as well. I think we would have had more success had Kaiya of been in a better mood, that or maybe we should have done it earlier in the day. Oh well. We got a few "happy" pictures in between all the tears. Everything was "Kaiya do" so we ended up with spilled coloring all over. Bummer! She thought it was pretty funny once they were all colored though to smell each one!

We drove to Brandons parents house yesterday to celebrate Easter with them. Kaiya got two baskets full of goodies there, got to play with her cousins Jaida and Tanner. They had a blast playing with bubbles! It was a long day though and Kaiya was a very tired little girl last night. Its about a 3 hour drive each way and she stayed awake the whole drive there, took no nap, and slept only 20 minutes on the drive home. She sure is a trooper!

And then today.. Easter Sunday! We got up a little earlier than we usally do for a Sunday morning, but that was because the Easter Bunny came!!! I went into Kaiya's room this morning and told her that the bunny brought her presents. She was super excited. We then went and got Daddy up so that he could join in on all the fun! She got to open another two baskets (one from the bunny and the other from Grandma Linda). She was super excited to see that she got a Pablo.. a big one and a little one.. (if you dont know who Pablo is he is character from the Backyardigans.. which Kaiya is OBSESSED with!) Anyway, so she had alot of fun checking out all her basket goodies, and then it was time for church. Kaiya did such a good job sitting through church even though it was sooooo long today I was even having a hard time sitting still. Maybe she knew that if she was a good girl she would get to have another egg hunt afterwards. So after church all the kids got to have an egg hunt. Kaiya thought she was pretty big getting to go with all the big kids to look for eggs.

We had a GREAT Easter! I am sure Kaiya will be wanting to play with her plastic eggs for weeks to come and probably cant wait for Easter next year.
Hope you all had as wonderful of a day today as I did.
Happy Easter!

Just because

Here are some pictures that I thought you might like to see just because I think they are cute!
Enjoy!

Check out those fancy new shoes! Thanks Grandma Linda!

I just LOVE this picture of her!

Cheese Girl!

Eating her St. Patrick's Day necklace... She WILL NOT take those clip on earring off!! Gotta hide them from her! ha!

First wagon ride all year!

Bathing beauty!

Big Girl

Kaiya got her first full big girl hair cut. Mommy was a little sad, but she sure looks cute now.
We went to kidsnips which is a childrens salon. Kaiya cried when they tried getting her to sit in the little car chair though. So she ended up watching Elmo sitting on mommys lap while the nice lady cut her hair.
They trimmed her bangs, and the back of her hair as well to even things up a bit. I think it makes her look like more of a big girl now though and not my little baby.
She sure is growing up fast.

PEANUT BUTTER!!!!

YUM!!!

Kaiya had her first taste of peanut butter, and she LOVED it!
At first we couldnt get her to take a bite, and then she cried when we took it away. She sat and ate it by the spoonful! Too funny!

Daddy-Daughter Day!

Brandon had a day off a couple weeks ago and I had to work, so Kaiya got to stay home and play with him. When I got home these are the pictures they had taken! Sure looks like they had a great time! :)
