costume change

For months now Kaiya has wanted to be Cinderella for Halloween. We even bought the costume back in July so we were sure to have it. We have done a couple events now for Halloween where she could dress up in her Rella costume. Yesterday though I went to old navy and got a $5 dollar off any purchace coupon.. Well their costumes were on sale for $5 so I got a kitty cat one thinking Kaiya could use to to play dress up and such in. She loves it. So today we got to do yet another Halloween event and she chose to wear that one. Good thing too cause it was sooooo cold! Who knows which costume shell want to wear on Halloween, Im leaning more towards the kitty! :)

Halloween Party!

On Friday we had a little Halloween party at my friend Stephanie's house. There were 5 girls total who came. Kaiya, Kate, Nina, Lilly, and Abby. (oh yeah.. and Lilly's baby sister Anna)
The girls had lots of fun playing together. They ate cookies, made a pumpkin face, colored, made candy necklaces, and ate more cookies!

"kumpkin patch"

Yesterday we went to the pumpkin patch with our friends the Nessons. We have gone with them to the same one for three years now. Kaiya had a really good time this year. I decided to post pics of her from each time we went in front of the same spot so you can see how much she has changed!
This year Kaiya was finally big enough to ride the frog hopper ride too! She had lots of fun on the train, and feeding carrots so all the animals!

Soccer Girl!

Brandon and Monday off of work so Kaiya got to stay home and have a fun "Daddy-Daughter Day" while Mommy went to work.
They seemed to have lots of fun, and had all kinds of cool stories to tell me once I got home. I think I missed her more than she missed me though.. :)
They went to the soccer field by our house and Kaiya LOVED kicking her ball and running all around. Now she tells me she wants to "play soccer tomorrow again sometime" all the time! They also went to the little lake by our house and threw rocks into the water to see the "big SPLASH"
Now dont laugh at the pants Kaiya has on.. I made the mistake of not picking out clothes for her to wear and let Brandon dress her himself (notice the cubs shirt). She has like 3 pairs of jeans that fit her really well.. but he manages to pick out the TOO SMALL ones and make her wear them.. and the too small ones were not in her drawer where you would think clothes would be that fit, but rather in the laundry basket I had set a side full of all her too small clothes.
Ha. Oh well. Makes for a good laugh.. that and looks like we cant afford pants!
Enjoy!

"nuk fairy"

Thursday night was Kaiya's first night sleeping without her nuk.
We made a special box for her to put her nuks in and told her that the "nuk fairy" was coming to take all her nuks to new babies who needed them more than she did. We packed up her nuks and left them outside the front door.
She was asleep within 10 mins of going to bed, and did not wake up once all night long!! First thing in the morning we ran to the front door to see if the "nuk fairy" came and if she left a special present in their place! Of course she did!! She left a Backyardigan play-doh set! Kaiya spent the first part of the morning playing with her big girl play-doh.
Nap time.. didnt exist the first day, but was much better the next. Its been 3 nights now with no nuk, and its like it never existed!
Kinda makes me sad though.. means my little girl is no longer a baby and I have to face the reality that she is in deed growing up :(
I am so proud of her though!
