Silly Faces!
Wish our new SLR camera I never miss a face! And Kaiya sure has many she likes to show off!! I probably take 50 pics at a time anymore, but they are worth it!! :)

My baby is growing up.. When did this happen???
It just amazes me how fast time really does seem to go by anymore..

Trip to Elmwood
Last weekend we drove to Elmwood to visit Brandons family. Its about a 3 hour drive from our place to theirs. Now this trip use to not be so bad when Kaiya was smaller and would sleep most of the drive. Wasnt so bad either when gas prices were lower.. ($4.14 already)
Anyway, so we loaded up toys, snacks, and movies for the long drive ahead. Kaiya never slept, never watched a movie, just ate and talked the whole way! That is until we are like 5 mins away from getting there and she crashes!!! So we sit out in the drive way for 30 mins so shes not way crabby when we go in.
Grandma Cindy showered Kaiya will some dress up things and lots of pretty clothes. Cousin Tanner I think enjoyed the plastic high heels more than Kaiya did though :)
Kaiya had so much fun playing with Tanner. She really enjoys being around kids her own age. They would run back and forth chasing each other and watching the dogs out the back door.
We had a great time, and have many great pictures to prove it!
on a side note.. normally we get 280 miles on a full tank of gas. Well Brandon did some research and decided to try out some new tricks. If you dont go over 65mph you are suppose to use less gas, and also if you dont accelerate over 2000rpms (or whatever its called) thats suppose to help save gas too.. Well.. it worked!! We went 425 miles before we needed to fill up! How amazing is that!! and it only added an extra 15 mins each way on our trip. Not too bad!!

Wiggle Jammies
Me Maw sent Kaiya a Wiggle night gown a couple weeks ago. Kaiya LOVES The Wiggles! So she was pretty excited to get it. I think shes worn it pratically every night since too!! Every night at jammie time she screams "Wiggle jammies!!!:)

Fishies
Ever since we went the aquarium a couple weeks ago all Kaiya likes to talk about is all the pretty "fishies"
So Brandon and I decided it would be a good idea to get Kaiya a little aquarium of her own. The following pictures show everything we've done to get ready for our new little fishie friends.
Sunday we went out and bought a small fish tank and set it all up by adding rocks and small plastic plants. We plugged it in and let it run for 24 hours like the box said before adding fish. On Monday night we took a trip to Petco and let Kaiya pick our her own fishies. She got to push around a small shopping cart and place her fish food and net inside. She had so much fun shopping for fish stuff and thought she was such a big girl.
We picked out 4 small fish, all different and none amounting to over $2 each. (in fear they might not last through the night) We brought them home and put them into their new tank. Kaiya was so super excited. Mainly cause the fish tank is in her bedroom. Wrigley like our new friends too, as you can see from the pictures below.
Sad to say one little guy didnt make it until morning, but luckily Kaiya isnt old enough to understand or even notice for that matter.
Every morning we say good morning to our little fishies and every night we turn out their light and say goodnight.

Strawberry Shortcake...
is soooooo YUMMY!!!
I have known forever that Kaiya LOVES strawberries, but she tried strawberry shortcake this weekend for the very first time.
Needless to say, it was a big HIT! :)

It smells like blue..
The other day while painting with dot art paints I noticed Kaiya smelling the paints.. when I asked her what it smelled like she replied with "it smells blue"
Now I am not too sure what blue smells like, but it must have smelled pretty good cause she kept doing it, and had lots of paint on her nose to show for it too!
