Birthday Celebration with Grandma and Pappy

Last weekend Grandma and Pappy came up to celebrate Kaiya turning 2!!
Kaiya had lots of fun playing with them both. They played dolls, sang songs, and had a marching band parade! I think she was sad to see them leave as she has noone to show off for anymore. Ha!!
Here are some pics of all the neat things she got from them!!
Thanks Grandma and Pappy, Uncle Dustin, Aunt Kendra, Nono and Nona for all the wonderful gifts!!

The Wiggles!

Last Saturday Brandon and I took Kaiya to The Wiggles concert! She had an absolute blast! We let her pick out a t-shirt when we got there, and she was so proud to wear and show it off... even if it was like 5 times too big!
Brandon spoiled her and got us 4th row seats!! We were sooo close we could actually see the sweat dripping off of them! Ha!!
Kaiya even ventured out in to the aisle to dance through some of the songs. It was too cute! And Anthony even waved at us!! :)
All in all, great concert! And well worth the extra money for close seats!

Potty Success!

Its official!
We have entered potty training in full force!
Friday was our first day and we basically just stayed home all day and I let Kaiya run around with no diaper on.. I think we only had one major accident. Saturday and Sunday we basically did the same thing. YAY! Soo.. yesterday was a work day and I was a little worried with letting her run around with no diaper. But she amazed me and again only have one major accident!
My real copmplaint about the whole thing is she tells me she has to go ever TWO seconds and almost every time its a false alarm. So I am having a hard time dragging her to the potty 100+ times a day for nothing. But I try to tell myself its not really for nothing... that she is eventually going to get the hang of it and well have fewer and fewer false alarms.
She filled up her first sticker chart and got to exchange it for a dilly bad from Dairy Queen! She was so proud of herself as you can tell from the photo!
Today is day 5.. wish me luck for my own sanity because this potty trainging business is about driving me crazy!!!

Lincoln City

For my moms actual birthday Kaiya and I took her to the beach for the night. We stayed in a hotel, went shopping, and played on the beach. Kaiya got to taste salt water taffy and clam chowder for the first time. Both of which she LOVED!
She really enjoyed playing in the sand and walking on the beach, she even ventured near the water but was sure not to get wet!

Great Papa and Great Memaw

Kaiya and I went to Oregon last month. I know I am really behind on posting a blog, sorry!!!
Anyway we had lots of fun, and took LOTS of pictures.
My Grandparents had a such a good time watching Kaiya play. They couldnt believe how much she had grown either. Kaiya took right to them and wasnt scared to give hugs and kisses at all. Thank goodness! :)
Here are some pictures of her with them from out week there!
Most posts and pictures to come! I promise!

Happy 4th of July!

Ok, so I know I am a little late in posting this, as the 4th was last weekend, but its been a busy week. Not that every week isnt busy, so maybe I have just been to lazy to post... who knows.
Anyway, on the 4th we took Kaiya to a parade downtown Wheaton. We went last year too, but this year was by far better because Kaiya actually got into it and really enjoyed herself.
We met up with some friends, and all sat and watched it together!
We decided not to go watch any fire works this year, mainly because I think Kaiya would still be pretty scared of the loud noise, but also because Brandon and I arent really into it and pretty much this its a waste of money. Maybe as she gets older we will change our minds but for now we are happy with just doing the parade thing! :)
Hope you had a wonderful 4th of July too!
